A skid is basically a pallet that has no bottom boards and is often used in the transportation of goods such as sheetmetal, glass and timber products.

At Mackay Pallet & Crate Manufacturers we have been manufacturing skids for over 40 years.

As with all of our products, our skids can be certified for export and made to order in any size.

Generally, they are used for transporting products that may not need to be enclosed or have so much enclosure. Skids are also popular when needing to transport bulky or heavier goods.
